This policy describes what information Willstein Beer Stein ("we", "us") collects when you visit willsteinbeerstein.com or place an order, and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Order information. When you buy, our payment processor collects your name, email address, shipping address, and payment details. We receive the order details and shipping address; we never see or store your full card number.
- Correspondence. If you email us, we keep the message and your email address so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
- Usage data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. It collects anonymized IP addresses, device and browser type, pages viewed, approximate location, and referring sites, and sets cookies to recognize returning browsers.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, automatically records standard request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
How we use it
To process and ship orders, respond to you, prevent fraud, understand how the site is used, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run the store, and only what they need: our payment processor (for example Stripe), our print and fulfillment partner (for example Printify) and its carriers, Google (analytics), Cloudflare (hosting and security), and our email provider. Each handles your data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics sets cookies beginning with _ga. You can block them with your browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site functions normally without them.
Retention
Order records are kept as long as needed for accounting, tax and dispute purposes. Analytics data is retained per Google's default settings. Email correspondence is kept as long as it is useful for support.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email hello@willsteinbeerstein.com. We will verify your identity before acting on a request. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising their privacy rights.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and payments are handled entirely by our payment processor. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version.
